Our vision is to win kids to Christ and grow them spiritually.

Noah’s Ark, Shepherd’s Corner & Daniel’s Den
The following are basic age guidelines for the preschool classes:

Noah’s Ark: 6 weeks – 18 months
Shepherd’s Corner: 18 months – 3 years
Daniel’s Den: Potty trained 3 year olds – Prekindergarten

Shepherd’s Corner & Daniel’s Den
(18 months – PreK)

Each month we focus on one specific truth, reinforcing it by engaging the five senses, experiencing worship, and giving parents ways to follow up at home.  Activities and the Bible story are presented in a way that is relevant to each age group.

By age 5, we want your child to believe that…

                        …God made me.
                        …God loves me.
…Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Shepherd’s Corner meets in the classroom next to Noah’s Ark.
Daniel’s Den meets around the corner from UpStreet.

We recognize that children change and grow at different rates, and that age is not necessarily the best indicator for when a child should stay in the current class or move to another.  Please feel free to discuss the most appropriate placement of your child with Susan Pacella, the Preschool Coordinator, if you believe age is not the best indicator of readiness.

Labeling is Important
Please label ALL of your child’s personal belongings, including the diaper bag.   Labels and markers are available at the Registration Desk if you need to label any items.  Please make sure all of your child’s things have been returned to you before you leave.  Lost and found items will be retained for one month, and any unclaimed items will be donated to a charitable organization.

Regarding Your Child’s Health

Our promise to you…
We will maintain the healthiest possible environment for your child as we make many efforts to keep our rooms clean and germ free.  In Noah’s Ark, linens are washed weekly, toys are wiped down between services, padded floor mats are sprayed with disinfectant and wiped down with disinfectant wipes each Sunday, and all workers are to use anti-bacterial hand gel and to wash their hands whenever possible to aid in preventing the spread of germs.  Following a diaper change, a new disposable sanitary sheet is placed on the changing table and the covers are washed weekly as well.  We strive to schedule at least one adult volunteer for each service who is certified in CPR and First Aid.

Your role in helping keep all our children healthy…
If your child is not well, please refrain from bringing him/her to class.  Please keep this list of symptoms in mind as reasons to not send your child into his/her class:

  • A fever of 100 degrees or more currently or in the past 24 hours
  • Vomiting in the past 24 hours
  • Diarrhea in the past 24 hours
  • Discolored or consistent drainage from the nose or eye(s)
  • Rash of any kind (unless there is a note from the doctor saying it is not contagious)
  • A skin infection (such as impetigo, boils, ringworm…)
  • Childhood diseases (such as chicken pox, mumps, measles, rubella, scarlet fever…)

*If your child presents with any of the above symptoms, we will not be able to accept him/her into the ministry area that day.

If your child has a persistent non-contagious condition (i.e. seasonal allergies), please be sure to inform the Registration Center so that your child is recognized as being well when no other symptoms (such as fever) exist.

Due to safety and liability reasons, we cannot administer any medications to your child.

Child Dedications/Parent Commitment Services

Child dedication/parent commitment opportunities are special times when parents thank God for their children, and pledge themselves to follow the Lord’s leadership in the development of the child’s life (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually).  There is no minimum age or age limit for dedicating your child(ren) to the Lord.  Dedication services are scheduled periodically, and parents may register by contacting our church office at 610.857.0720.  Requests for dedications on a particular date are welcome, but cannot be guaranteed.
